The remastered is running on Unreal Engine which probably means they would have to scrap most of their work and take even more time to redo the mp for it (unless rockstar does it)

I believe that open mp being released for the remastered gta is the best way to integrate players and finally let SA-MP rest in peace. The remastered GTA is the opportunity for open mp to make the success that SA-MP did in its day with the classic version of gta.
